Last full day in Sweden and our last night in a hotel for awhile. I have really enjoyed Sweden it is interesting to run into the Nordell name in a few places and see the areas that part of our family came from originally. We originally choose to come to Växjö to see the sweden house of emigrants research centre, unfortunately it closed a few months ago. Even with the centre being closed we really enjoyed the area and this city and the people here. Yesterday we took the train to Kalmar a port town on the Baltic Sea and visited a local castle , we also managed to find a studio with local artist Matz Nordell and got to see his work and visit him for a little while. Tomorrow we are heading to Albertslund just outside of Copenhagen and will be visiting some old childhood friends from Edson area, then we are off to Delft, Netherland where we found a 16th century house to rent for 10 days. It really suprises me how mild the weather is here I expected it to be similar to back home but I would say it is closer to interior of BC, very nice fall. We really enjoy the travel by train, it can be a little confusing and overwhelming with packs on but it is also a great way to see the country side and is a very relaxing way to travel. The last few days have been in two separate rooms in a hotel which has been like a little holiday in our travels. The rooms have a great breakfast included and we don't have to be so concerned about packing lunches or cooking suppers when getting back.
L,
Beautiful area.
