House in delft

some pictures of the 16th century home we rented in Delft, the front was upgraded in the 1800's but the structure and beams are quite possibly original. They would salvage oak beams from destroyed ships and use them to build homes, so not sure how old they would be.

Stairs from 2nd to 3rd floor

Front door,

Back yard and veranda

From across street we have top 3 floors,

  2. That house is amazing..I want to live in it! Those old beams would have some stories to tell if they could talk. So quaint..the little sweet shop below you. I look forward to your posts so much; what a great idea this was - thanks for sharing your adventure! Stay safe, keep well, and have the time of your lives! XO
